Minky Ergo Ironing Board Review
One of the negative things associated to ironing is back or neck pain due to standing for extended periods of time. This is because most ironing boards are set to a certain height, forcing you to do this tiring chore standing up and trying to maintain the same uncomfortable position the entire time.
The good news is that with the technology today, most modern-day ironing boards are designed with all these seemingly minor problems in mind. A lot of the ones you see sold on the market today have customizable settings that give you the freedom adjust the ironing board according to the position most comfortable for you, while some are made for ironing while sitting down.
There are also ironing boards that take their innovations seriously, like the Minky Ergo Ironing Board. Its iron rack has this unique shape that is supposedly designed to follow the natural movement of the arm when ironing, avoiding muscle strains and other issues.
Manufacturer’s description of the product: Minky Ergo Ironing Board

I was excited to try this ironing board when I first saw it, mainly because I wanted to see whether the uniquely shaped rack was going to do anything for me or it was just pseudoscience. It intrigued me that it’s supposed to be ideal for both left and right-handed users.
I have been using the Minky Ergo Ironing Board, and I must say I’m impressed! Firstly, it has such a wide surface that I can finish ironing one garment in just a few minutes because it covers so much at a time. This makes it the perfect ironing board for people who usually iron larger clothes.
I used to have trouble when ironing clothes because of the old one I had. It was made of wood and the height could not be adjusted so I had to stand up the whole time, pausing every few minutes to rest, but still getting some pain in the back of my neck. It wasn’t a fun situation and it made me not look forward to ironing my fresh laundry.
Then, the Minky Ergo came, and it was my savior! It has adjustable height settings so I can choose to sit down once I’m tired, or I can start ironing already sitting down if I’m feeling a little lazy. I have also been teaching my teenage daughter how to iron her own clothes — seeing that she’s about to become an adult and ought to take care of herself — and she doesn’t find it too unbearable because she can adjust the height of the ironing board (she’s a little shorter than I am).
The whole thing is very sturdy and solid. I cannot complain about the way it’s built.
After ironing, our clothes turn up very crisp and smooth, as if they were brand new, without much effort. It was amazing to see something like this unfolding in front of my eyes, and how much the ironing board can affect the outcome. I’ve been using the same iron for years and it never did anything like this before the Minky Ergo. Like I said, ironing was much quicker with this, but also a lot better. I think this is because of the special cover called the Bespoke Prozone, which is supposed to “reflect the heat back.”
I don’t know much about that but it’s probably true because of the results I have seen!
Considering the size of this thing, I would not be surprised if it was heavy, but it isn’t. This makes it easier to adjust its height and move it from one place to another, which is a huge help because my daughter has been using it, too. It isn’t small though, so if you are looking for something that you can just throw into the closet, this isn’t that. I don’t mind that at all, I just store it in the laundry room.
- Wide surface area for quick ironing
- Ergo Rest looks nice and allows ergonomic arm movement
- The Bespoke Prozone works; it makes ironing so much faster
- Adjustable height settings
- Lightweight and easy to maneuver
- None for me, but it can be hard to store for some people because of its size
I love the Minky Ergo Ironing Board and I will absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs heavy duty ironing. It’s lightweight and easy to move around places, and it’s fantastic to use.
